CAKE POPS FOR THE CURE! GOOO RJ!

So, I have a long time GREAT friend of mine that is participating in the 2011 Susan Komen 3 day race for the curein November in San Diego. It is a 60 mile walk benefiting breast cancer of course. I am so proud of thim for doing this and I want to help him raise enough money to participate. I am sure that all of us know someone dear to us that has battled through this disease. RJ needs to raise atleast $3000 for his team. His team needs to raise $25,000! RJ has done so much for me throughout my life, that I want to help him make his goal. Plus, once he reaches his goal, he is GOING TO DYE HIS HAIR AND BEARD PINK UNTIL THE RACE, and this is something I am DYING to see! So if there is anyone you know that has or has breast cancer, let's help him out so that he can walk for their cure!

There are two ways to donate:

1: go to www.the3day.org
on the right side, click donate to a participant
search by team name:   Tigers for ta-ta's (has to be typed in exactly)
click the team name, and them click RJ DERMENSTEIN
there will be a button on the top left side that will allow you to donate to RJ

2: Buy cake pops for the cure! One dozen all pink cake pops for $25
$15 of each dozen will go to RJ's donations!

Thanks so much for your help and God Bless all the women and their families that have been affected by breast cancer!

Bye Bye Valentine's Pops, Hello everything else

well I sent out my last box of Valentine's Pops today! Boy has that been an experience. When I went into this, I expected I might sell about....ummmm... 15 boxes or so. Well, the total number was 41 boxes and 3.5 dozen. That makes....370 POPS!! I need to thank my ggod ole friend Pam for coming and helping me sprinkle! I dont think that I would have made it to Valentine's Day sane if it wasnt for her help Saturday! Thanks a million!! I already have birthday and baby shower orders on deck! How awesome is that!

Cake Pop Crazy!!

Soooo! Last night was so crazy! Cake Pop Crazy that is! I never dreamed that so many people would love my cake pops! I put some cake pops in our restaurant and they were a big hit there. Yesterday, I was eating lunch and one lady ordered 3 dozen while I was there. Another guy ordered two boxes. All of these are to be delivered by Friday. So last night, I dipped and decorated 60 cake pops of all flavors. Some of them I have to ship to my brother in New Orleans this morning. Then i had to individually wrap and ribbon all of those pops! I also baked 2 more cakes and rolled 80 more pops. Needless to say, I am very tired this morning. I also forgot to eat dinner last nght.
While i was making all of these pops, a good friend of mine came over to sample them. He ate a chocolate one and loved it! HE ORDERED 11 BOXES for all of the special women in his life! What a great guy! So by Sunday I have 18 more boxes of pops to dip, decorate and package! WOW! That is 144 pops! I had visions of cake pops dancing in my head last night :) I have some much fun making these sweet treats, that I hope it doesn't end after Vaentine's Day. I can't wait for spring to arrive so I can do some fun fresh flavors. Lemon is what I am really looking forward to.

IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT,THEN EAT SOMETHING CUTE!
